Simon Petrie

Simon Petrie is the name given to an ongoing pilot project in personal carbon sequestration. The project was originally developed in New Zealand, was subsequently based in Canada for a trial period, but is now stationed in Canberra, Australia. Those associated with the project, including a woman and two children who have observed it closely for several years, say that there have been recent worrying signs that it may be developing something dangerously close to sentience.

Publication in March 2010 of the project’s first alleged collection of short fiction, Rare Unsigned Copy: tales of Rocketry, Ineptitude, and Giant Mutant Vegetables (Peggy Bright Books) would, however, appear to put the lie to these concerns.
