July-2006 Our printer screwed up issue 23 by replacing two pages with content from issue 22. Subscribers and reviewers who received copies will receive full size repair stickers to place over the offending pages. Shops and reviewers who usually receive multiple copies will get theirs when the printer has finished fixing the mistake, which should happen within the week. Sorry for any inconvenience.

EnVision, the 5 day spec fic workshop for novel-length writers, has produced a collection of shorts stories and novel excerpts drawn from workshop attendees. These offer an insight into the critiquing process and the development of a writer. The publication also contains industry insights from high successful author Sean Williams, agent Tara Wynne and editors such as Stephanie Smith from Harper Collins, Leonie Tyle from University of Queensland Press and Keith Stevenson former editor of Aurealis magazine.

years now. We thought they could do with a bit of a break. So we won't be accepting new submissions from 14-Dec-2003 through to 31-Jan-2004. Writers in the Slushpool (you know who you are!) will be held a bit longer to allow for the fact that readers are going on holidays/Clarion/nervous breakdowns during this period.
Submissions will open up again 1-Feb-2004, so use the intervening time to polish that masterpiece!
